Hellllp! I broke my Lipstick!
Hellllp! I broke my Lipstick!
My absolute favorite item of make-up.One tip to PREVENT this from happening is to refrigerate your lipstick.
Although if the damage is done and your lipstick is in two halves then there's still a way to save it! Heat up the two broken ends of the lipstick either with a lighter or a hairdryer (don't worry, lipstick isn't flammable) and then fuse the ends together. Once its in place put it in the fridge until it is hard again and wah-lah!
It might not look as good as it used to but it does work!
Primers?
Why buy a Primer?
- Oily skin can be easily covered up with primer beacause it has mattifying properties!
- If you are a maturer make up user, foundation will set in any low points or wrinkles that you may have, making them appear worse, however by using a good primer your foundation will set into them much more nicely and improve the look of them.
- It minimalises large pores and therefore gives you a "resurfaced" look.
- It helps your make up stay on for longer meaning less touch ups during the day.
- It is gentle enough that it can be doubled as an eyeshadow primer to help it stay in place and to also lighten the eye area, helping your eyes look less tired and more awake!
I was very impressed with Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer* £6.99 as it is also tinted to adapt to the colour of your skin tone. So even if you do not plan to use foundation over the top of this product you can still have a clear much more natural looking complexion. This product goes on very easily and you can apply foundation without waiting for any time for it to set. It moisturises as it works and makes my skin smoother to the touch!
Higher end Primers such as Mac Prep and Prime* it comes in at around £20-£30. It feels smooth and non greasy and clears up oily skin especially around the nose and mouth area. This is becuase It contains silicones which are usually helpful for filling in wrinkles and large pores but can also clog them. I realised that this product does improve the appearance of your skin however it did not improve creases around the mouth and eyes upon putting on foundation. Although it makes my skin feel fantastic there is no change to how my foundation would look on top of a drugshop primer.

July's Beauty Tricks! Doubling-Up
You can save money on products by doubling some up! By that I mean, finding more than one use for each item of make up. I made a grid here to show you how.
